Workshops and Seminars in Los Angeles, California

Authentic Giving

Some of the courses, workshops and seminars offered by us are offered on the basis of "authentic giving."  Courses that utilize this pricing model have links to this page, and mention authentic giving as the pricing structure.

Authentic giving means that you come in, experience the workshop or course, and then donate precisely what you feel to be the value of what you just received.

That amount may be more than the minimum donation for repeat participants, and it may be less. It may be nothing, if you truly felt the workshop had no value for you.

This offer is not about "what you can afford." It is about what the value is to you.

This offer is made to new participants because they do not know what the value of the workshop will be to them. The value is "in the unknown."

If you know before coming in that your donation will be zero, then you are not in the unknown. You are in the known, and not coming from the value-based place that we are requesting.

100% Donation for First Course

Your first workshop in a particular series, or the first time you do a workshop, the course is offered on a 100% donation basis.

Minimum Donation for Repeat Courses

All subsequent workshops in the same series are also on a donation basis, but there is a minimum donation. You are always free do donate more than the minimum, if my work has more value to you than the numbers on this page.

Minimum donations are usually set to very low levels, compared with similar workshops or courses. We hope that you will find the work more valuable than the minimum donation value.

Donations Provide Feedback

If you have experienced a workshop, and find it to be of lesser value than the minimum donation, then we request suggest that you express to the course leader exactly what would make the workshop worth the minimum donation, so that the workshops may be improved.

We truly appreciate your authentic donations. They are a barometer for us to measure the quality of our workshops and instructional methods.
